"I am one of those lucky people who gets up every morning excited to go to work! I am blessed to play an active role in the lives of my clients and I love investing my life in capturing memories for others.

"When my daughter (now 29 years old) was a baby, my mother treated me to a portrait session for my children with the "best" photographer in my hometown. I was so excited to get beautiful photographs of my children; however, being in front of the camera and lights frightened my baby and we didn't get the beautiful memory that I hoped for. All that resulted were just a couple shots of her with red eyes and a frightened look on her face. If the photographer had just stopped and given me a few minutes, I could have soothed her and, more than likely captured the beautiful memory that I had hoped for. Instead, he was in a rush, had no patience or time for us and then announced that he just "couldn't" get anything of her. I've never forgotten that experience and when I started my business, I swore that I would never treat a client that way.

"I hope that I have kept my promise to myself and to others. I take the time to allow everyone to get comfortable in front of the camera, whether it is a frightened six-month old or a self-conscious teenager with acne. It is a goal of mine to make my sessions fun for everyone. I am patient with people, and I give plenty of time to relax and plenty of images from which to choose. I try to convince everyone that they are beautiful in front of the camera because I believe that there is something beautiful about every person and, if given the chance I can capture it in an image."
