Frequently Asked Questions

What is your
business philosophy?
Fewer people. More time. Less stress. I believe in slower-paced sessions, intentional planning, and creating artwork that’s made to last. I specialize in finished albums and digital images.
How do I get in touch?
Call me!
What should I bring to my session?
We’ll talk through everything during our planning conversation—I’ll help you brainstorm outfits, accessories, and anything else that helps tell your story. My goal is for you to feel confident, comfortable, and totally yourself.
What should I wear?
Text me your clothing options beforehand and we’ll run through them.
Is a planning session really necessary?
YES! YES! YES!
Talking helps us get to know each other. When we sit down face to face, we can talk through locations, style, and what you actually want in your finished portraits. It’s all about making your life easier and your session more meaningful.
What if it rains?
We’ll confirm your appointment the day before. If the weather looks iffy, we’ll check in around 1 p.m. to decide whether to move forward or reschedule. Don’t hesitate to call—we’re always happy to chat.
Can I bring my cell phone?
Please don't use cell phones to take photos during the session. Cell phones are very distracting for the person being photographed.
How long will the session last?
I will mark my calendar for a couple of hours, but sometimes sessions last closer to an hour. I want us to feel relaxed and unrushed. The best moments happen when we slow down.
When will I see my images and place my order?
Your portraits will be ready about a week after your session. We’ll meet for a relaxed ordering appointment where you’ll see the images, narrow down your favorites, and place your order. Be sure to bring any decision-makers, room measurements, and a list of people you may want to gift portraits to—like grandparents, or for a bedside table (my personal favorite).
Each ordered portrait comes with a matching social media file (low-resolution, non-printable). These images are copyrighted and created with care—thank you for honoring that.
